Rising Stars take on the Best of Mass at Reggie Lewis

The future of Hopkinton’s track team was on display today as the Hillers competed in the MSTCA Freshman-Sophomore Large School Championship at Reggie Lewis Center in Boston.

Hopkinton had 26 athletes participate against the most competitive Large School programs in Massachusetts. The meet rules stated that the top eight teams in each event earned a medal, and Hopkinton saw 7 on the day.

Sophomore Elyse Srodawa placed first overall in the Girls 2 Mile, with a time of 11:42.83. Sophomore Josie Hopkins had an excellent Long Jump, placing 4th overall with a distance of 15’ 8”. Hopkins also anchored the Girls 4×2 team and hurdled.

Sophomore Logan Sullivan placed 7th overall in the High Jump, with a height of 5’ 4”.

The Boys 4×2 team (Matt Bernardin, Owen Champlin, Ethan Davan, and Harry Millar) placed 7th out of 35 schools, earning the Hillers final podium appearance for the day.
