Pastor to Select Board: Recommendation of Officer Brennan

Published on

Greetings Select Board Members,

I have served the Town of Hopkinton for thirty-five years as Youth Pastor and Lead Pastor at Faith Community Church.  In addition, I raised four children through the school system and as part of our community activities.  During my time here, I have come to know Officer Brennan in both capacities, as pastor and a parent.

Tim treated the church with respect.  He appreciated our partnership in the community, police and church working together towards a common good.  He understood that the church was a valuable public organization that helped our citizens find help and healing.  We worked together to care for people from different approaches, in general for the overall good of the town and specifically with people in need of help.  He responded promptly to our needs and did his best to help when police attention was required.

As a parent, I had the pleasure of knowing I could trust Tim to watch over my children, two sons and two daughters.  He treated my whole family kindly, promising a protection I trusted wholeheartedly.  My children appreciated Officer Brennan, knowing he had their best interests in mind.

I encourage the Select Board to take into consideration all of Officer Brennan’s performance as well as his own testimony.  He is a good officer and a valuable member of our community.

Mike Laurence, Lead Pastor

Faith Community Church, 146 East Main St, Hopkinton
