The Islamic Masumeen School of Hopkinton announced that their annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Interfaith Day will be held Sunday, January 22, 2023 at 12:00 PM at 115 Wood Street.
Refreshments will be served, and speakers will include:
- Town Clerk Connor Degan
- Chief of Police Joseph Bennett
- School Superintendant Carol Cavanaugh
- Cathleen Dinsmore of Hopkinton Freedom Team
- Pastor Lourey Savick of United Parish of Upton
- Select Board member Shahidul Mannan
- Shaykh Tabarsi of IMCNE
The Islamic Masumeen Center of New England is a non-profit religous organization that established its current location in 1995. In addition to a well-attended Islamic school operated by more than 100 families, the IMCNE organizes community events like the MLK day program and blood drives and actively participates in local town events.
