The redesign of the Main Street and Hayden Rowe Street intersection, aimed at enhancing pedestrian and cyclist safety, appears to increase danger. The new layout includes parked cars obstructing drivers’ line of sight and a stop sign and line placed far from Main Street’s entrance. Local residents avoid the intersection and express fear over the narrow design. “I’m afraid we’re going to see something nasty here,” said one.
