Lake Maspenock Weed Treatment Management Report

Results from the late-season survey indicate that this year's treatment was overall successful. The targeted species experienced significant reductions. We defer to the Town to determine the management needs, if any, for 2025 but do recommend assessing the lake’s vegetation assemblage at a minimum.

Since its inception, girlygirl P.A.R.T.S has raised over a million dollars to help fund ovarian cancer research. P.A.R.T.S is an acronym that stands for Pre-screening Awareness Required to Silence… ovarian cancer. All money raised goes towards Dana-Farber’s Director of Gynecological Oncology, Dr. Ursula Matulonis’ work to develop effective pre-screening tools for ovarian cancer.

Ricky Thomas LaChance Jr., 16, of Medfield and formerly of Hopkinton, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Born in Framingham, he was the son of Keri Lynn Smith and Brandon Crawford of Medfield.
