HHS Students Uncover “Secret Soiree”, Sparking Whispers and Wardrobe Questions

by | Nov 24, 2024 | Humor, News

On Saturday, November 23, a group of Hopkinton High School students made a discovery that has the town clutching its proverbial pearls. The group of teens, while hunting for their friend’s AirPods, stumbled upon what can only be described as the suburban answer to Studio 54—a “swingers party” in full, um, swing.

The party, allegedly themed “Sexy Lingerie,” drew nearly 100 guests, requiring private security to maintain decorum – or whatever semblance of it one expects at such an event. Cars lined the street like it was Black Friday at the mall, and the curious teens observed color-coded rooms through the windows, sparking debates about whether the hues corresponded to mood lighting or a very niche version of Twister.

The advertisement for the soirée, uncovered on the appropriately-named “Swing Life Style” website, was as transparent as a Victoria’s Secret catalog. With promises of “play areas,” “sultry stockings,” and a hot tub overlooking private woods, it seems the hosts left no stone unturned in their pursuit of an unforgettable evening.

“We thought it was just a regular house party,” said one student, “but then we saw all these cars and a guy with an earpiece standing outside. From the road the rooms were pink, red, and purple. It was like a funhouse, but, you know… weird fun.”

Some of the neighbors, known for their conservative values and well-manicured lawns, are reportedly scandalized. One resident, who asked to remain anonymous, said, “Hopkinton is a family town. We have bake sales and parades—not hot tubs and heated gazebos for… well, whatever they’re doing in there. Who has a heated gazebo?!”

Various Facebook groups exploded with activity, as is the case whenever anything remotely controversial happens, featuring commentary ranging from the outraged (“This is not what our property taxes are for!”) to the intrigued (“Where exactly do I find this website?”).

Even local businesses are feeling the ripple effects. A lingerie boutique in a nearby town reported a 300% increase in foot traffic overnight. “We’re not saying it’s related,” said the owner, “but there’s definitely something…bubbling.”

Hopkinton High School administrators, caught in the crossfire of this awkward discovery, have urged students and parents to “focus on learning, not lurking.”

For now, the street has returned to its usual state of tranquility, save for a few lingering tire marks on the curb. As for the hosts, they remain tight-lipped but were overheard telling a guest, “Next time, we’re renting a yacht. No parking issues there!”

When asked for comment, one student summed it up best: “Hopkinton’s not that boring after all. Who knew?”

Clearly this was just a good old fashioned holiday cooking party, stuffing the turkey a week early is being proactive no?!

I guess the above neighbor doesn’t have cars parked all over his/her front lawn. I’m also guessing they don’t have a dog who barks every time someone opens or closes a door and drives away at all hours of the night. So yeah, not all of us are “cool” with this.

I’m sure your neighbors all love your constantly barking dog too! Might be time to hire a dog trainer.

Parking on the street in front of your house is legal. The road is not your front lawn. NIMBY

No one said it was illegal John. Just fucking annoying.

How about you tell your trespassing “guests” to stay off our property and pick up their used condoms from the side of the road !

How exactly would attending a party be trespassing? The rest is made up. Keep clutching your pearls.

Totally not “cool” that they are running a sex business out of our neighborhood. 2x per month – at times over 100 cars on a scenic road with no room for that kind of parking. I wonder how much money they are making a year? Police don’t seem to care.

In future elections would Massachusetts now be considered a ‘swing’ state? LOL

Too funny. Guess we missed it, we had a plain old dinner party at our house last night and everybody’s clothes stayed on.

Can somebody explain what that comment about property taxes even means? Somebody’s panties certainly got in a bunch.

In the early 70’s, my parents moved to a house on a small pond in Marshfield Hills. The new neighbors soon informed them about a house across the pond (200 yards??) that was known to have swingers parties. We waited patiently for the big party to happen. Finally, there was one summer day where there was music, people swimming and some mild hooting and hollering going on, but that’s about it. Makes for a good story, though.

John, overnight parking on a public way during the winter is a town by law violation. The election is over and you lost. You can remove the Harris sign from your yard now.

Cars aren’t parked there overnight, it’s always cleaned up same night/ first thing Sunday morning, and you’d never know there was a party.

    Dear Hopkinton Neighbors,

Please consider the bigger picture here. I have not met these neighbors. I don’t know about their lifestyle, and I am too busy raising kids to care. While I am sympathetic to feelings on all sides, posting an article like this is wrong. Even my teenager taking civics class, who never agrees with me, agrees on this.

We do not want any newspaper, no matter how well-meaning, to report on private lives viewed through windows from the woods. It is at best unethical journalism. It is quite probably illegal. It is certainly un-American and an assault on our basic freedoms and right to privacy.

We may not agree with all the actions of our neighbors, but as Americans we all have a responsibility to defend our freedoms. I have friends who fled the Morality Police in Iran. We do not want even the shadow of that here. There are better ways to manage our differences.

This is nothing new in Hopkinton. These parties were going on 15 years ago. Haven’t you heard about the blue pots with blue Adirondack chairs on the front yard? Swingwood estates area is known for this.

Trespassers have been caught on our outside video cameras and are being turned over to our local law enforcement to enjoy a different kind of fun!

HopNews, since you posted this ridiculous article that was 95% not factual, we now have teenagers trespassing in our yard when we have parties. Is that what you wanted? We have pictures of them on our video cameras, and we are going to the police with them. Do the right thing, and post my first comment so we can make these teenagers aware of the fact that we are on to them. We do not want to have to prosecute them for trespassing, but your posting this article has made our lives hell.
