Three were cuffed for tipsy driving, a duet of car mishaps escaped injury’s clutches, and Mother Nature flexed her muscles with breezy chaos. Meanwhile, our boys in blue fielded calls about party stakeouts, lost pooches, and a surprise basement critter. Watch out for airborne trash cans!

Arrests

  • On February 27, Lisa Curry of Hopkinton was arrested on charges of:
    • Operating under the influence – liquor
  • On February 28, Kannan Manickam of Hopkinton was arrested on charges of:
    • Operating under the influence – liquor
  • On March 3, Vitor Dos Santos of Sutton was arrested on charges of:
    • Operating under the influence – liquor
    • Posession of an open container in vehicle
    • Speeding

February 26

  • Mashpee PD requested assistance locating a license plate.
  • Caller reported disabled vehicle was in a bad spot on Cedar St.
  • Alarm company reported a commercial fire alarm. When Officer Walker arrived to assist, a sprinkler broke in the rear of the building.
  • Officer Ziniti removed a box of food in the roadway of Legacy Farms N.
  • Caller reported a two car accident on Main St. There were no injuries and one car had already requested a tow.
  • Walk-in reported someone tried taking money out of his bank account.

February 27

  • The water department called to notify a pole with hanging wires on Pratt Way required attention. The police contacted Eversource.
  • Caller reported he lost his keys to his Jeep Wrangler. The keys have a red Jeep key chain.
  • Caller reported a biker yelling at a driver on Cedar St.
  • Officer Ekross responded to a report of a loud sound that resembled gun shots.

February 28

  • Caller reported an erratic driver all over the roadway on I-495 S. State PD responded.
  • Officers Diaz and Walker responded to a report of a two vehicle accident on South St and the occupants appeared to have been arguing.
  • Caller notified the police the light on Grove St was not changing.
  • Officer Savolt responded to a report of a bus that was hit by snow plow.
  • Caller reported a past dog bite. The information was passed along to animal control.
  • 911 caller reported possible chimney fire.
  • Holliston reported a vehicle hit a low low hanging wires on Ash St. The road was blocked off.

February 29

  • Multiple reports of wires and trees down came in from the previous night’s wind.
  • 911 caller reported noises coming from the basement. Officers Beloin and Ziniti responded and found a small animal in the garage.
  • Caller notified the police that the traffic light on Main St was malfunctioning.
  • Officer Buentello responded to a report of a soccer ball-sized stone in the middle of Oakhurst Rd. Negative find.
  • Walk-in reported his neighbor was potentially being scammed.
  • Walk-in has questions about possible stalking.
  • Officers O’Neil and Ziniti responded to a report of smoke coming from chimney into the roadway. Officers confirmed an active chimney fire.
  • Caller reported a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot on Hayden Rowe St. Officer Saletnik responded and the operator informed they were waiting to arrive at a surprise party.
  • Several reports of trash cans in the road came in.

March 1

  • 911 caller reported two trucks blocking Walcott St.
  • Officer Beloin and Ziniti spoke with a resident who reported two items being stolen from his doorstep on Hunters Ridge Way.
  • A caller on Pendulum Pass reported someone hit his mailbox and fled.
  • Officer Ziniti responded to a report of a vehicle speeding on Chamberlain St while talking on the phone.
  • Woman reported her mom did not come home from work.
  • An employee reported a man being aggressive to other customers unprovoked.

March 2

  • Officer Ziniti checked an area off of I-495N for a lost chocolate lab.
  • 911 caller reported a man swinging his dog around by Church St.

March 3

  • Officer Grimley checked on vehicles parked at the gun club.
  • Caller reported vehicles parked on a property on Hayward St that should not be there. Officer Walker was unable to make contact with the owners.
  • Walk in turned in a drone they found.
  • 911 caller reported an accident on Lumber St involving two cars. Both cars were able to drive off on their own.
  • Officers Ekross and O’Neil assisted an individual walking on Cedar St that did not appear to be okay. The officers gave the person a courtesy transport.
  • Upton PD requested assistance on a car chase coming from Upton to Hopkinton. Upton police eventually pulled the driver over and did not need assistance.
