Adam Levine, a senior from Framingham State University, has joined HopNews as a staff reporter. Levine is an English major with a minor in journalism and a concentration in creative writing.
Levine’s passion as an English major began with his love for poetry, but shifted to journalism after transferring to FSU from UMass Amherst.
Levine joined the school’s independent student newspaper, The Gatepost, during his first semester at FSU. He began as a Staff Writer, primarily covering sporting events on campus. He quickly rose to Assistant Sports Editor and then took over as Sports Editor Spring 2023. To date, Levine is credited with more than 100 articles for The Gatepost, including campus news articles, op-eds, player profiles, sports coverage, and news in the athletics department.
He plans to expand his journalism skills by covering events in Hopkinton.
“As a journalist, I aim to show the positives of a community. My love for journalism comes from being able to give the reader a story that will impact their life,” said Levine.
In addition to his passion for journalism, he is a supporter of nonprofit organizations and has been a 5-year fundraiser for the Movember Foundation.
Levine is a Framingham native and while not working, he enjoys watching the Boston Celtics and other Boston sports teams.
