On Tuesday, April 9, Hopkinton Police Patrolmen Sean McKeon and Brennan Grimley were alerted to suspicious vehicle activity near South Street. McKeon noticed an unoccupied but locked car with leather gloves sitting on the passenger seat.

Setting out on foot down Hayward Street, McKeon and Grimley looked for vehicles that had been broken in to and found one with its front door propped open and the center console had been rifled through. They continued their search and found several other cars in the same state, with their center consoles tossed.

Grimley next encountered a witness who had noticed a man going through cars and nearby garages, and the witness provided the officer with a detailed description of the suspect’s clothing.

By this time officer’s McKeon and Grimley were joined by Sergeant Bill Burchard, who reported the suspect in custody. The officers continued to make their way toward Lakeshore Drive, checking for other vehicles that had been broken in to.

Corey Delmar Clark, Jr., 25, of Hudson, was arrested for felony breaking & entering of a vehicle or boat. Mr. Clark is a 2018 graduate of Doherty Memorial High School in Worcester.

Hopkinton PD announced that if anyone living in the vicinity finds that their car or garage was entered and gone through they should contact the department to make a report.
