This is a 1990 Ford F-350 XLT 4×4 Crew Cab, affectionately known to my kids as “Big Blue”. It has so much authentic character that I didn’t even bother washing it for you. This is a truck meant for work, and it commands respect anywhere on the road.
Big Blue sports an absurdly powerful 7.5 Liter V-8 engine with a 10,000-pound maximum trailer towing capacity. You’ll need to be competent with a 5-speed manual transmission to operate her, and shifting is not without its quirks. As an added benefit, you’ll burn a few calories working the hydraulic clutch.
She has 128,000 miles on her, almost entirely short haul. Big Blue was a West Coast truck for most of her life, and since moving to Hopkinton in 2015 she’s developed a few rust spots but nothing significant.
If pushing snow around is your thing, Big Blue is outfitted with a Fisher Minute Mount 2 system and the wiring hardness as well (blade not included).
She starts every time, sucks a lot of fuel (has two tanks), and is up to the challenge of any job you put in front of her. She’s not as pretty as she once was, but none of us are, right? I recently replaced her with a 2016 F-350, which is why I’m parting with this very servicable machine. Contact me below if you’re interested!
