Hopkinton’s Boy Scout Troop 4 is kicking off their largest fundraiser of the year. On January 7, 2023, the Scouts will spread out across Hopkinton, offering curbside recycling of Christmas trees.

The cost is $15, and is available exclusively for Hopkinton residents. This is the Troop’s most popular fundraiser, and dates fill up fast, so readers are encouraged to register early.

This fundraiser helps the Scouts fulfill their primary mission of delivering a meaningful and high-quality leadership and outdoor programs for Hopkinton boys. The funds raised by this activity are used to help support exciting activities and development opportunities. Examples include campouts where Scouts learn skills, such as pioneering, wilderness survival and first aid.  Other activities include rock climbing, environmental awareness, white water rafting, and mountain biking.

Residents often see Scouts throughout the year helping to improve our community through civic projects such as trail cleanups and Scouting for Food.
