Here’s what to do:
Send an email to editor@hopnews.com with “Pet of the Week” in the subject line.
Include:
- A couple of good photos of your pet (one for the website and the other for FB & IG)
- Answers to as many of the questions below as you’d like — there’s no wrong number, and the more personality the better.
If your fur-baby came from a rescue or shelter, please pass along their website so we can link to it.
We feature a different pet every Friday, and pets are welcome to come back for another round of fame. We’ll reach out if we need anything else. We can’t wait to meet your animal!

- What’s the weirdest thing your pet does?
- If your pet had a job title that matched their personality, what would it be?
- What’s their most dramatic reaction to something completely ordinary (like the vacuum, a paper bag, or their own reflection)?
Mischief & Chaos
- What’s the worst thing they’ve ever destroyed, stolen, or gotten into — and how guilty did they look when busted?
- What’s their signature “Wasn’t me” move when they get caught?
Quirks & Obsessions
- Do they have a nemesis — a squirrel, a neighbor, a specific piece of furniture?
- What’s something they’re inexplicably terrified of – or – obsessed with?
- Is there a food, object, or place they’re completely unhinged about?
Your Perspective
- What’s the most ridiculous thing you’ve caught yourself doing for this pet?
- Has your pet ever embarrassed you in front of guests or in public?
- If they could talk for just one minute, what would they say — or confess to?
