HopNews Subscriptions Now Free Through Public Library

Published on

The Hopkinton Public Library and HopNews are pleased to announce that patrons can now access HopNews for free through the library. Up to 100 accounts will be sponsored by the Library through a generous discount from HopNews.

A limited number of Hopkinton patrons may sign up for free access to HopNews by filling out a form on the HopNews website and including their library card number. Accounts will be removed from the Library license after six months of inactivity, but users can re-apply for access at any time.

The Library offers free access to a variety of newspaper and news sites, such as the Boston Globe, New York Times, and Hopkinton Independent. Since HopNews has begun charging for some of its articles, the Library reached out to work out an arrangement to offer free HopNews access for Library patrons.

The Library is proud to support our patrons’ ability to access local news resources.
HopNews is also offering free subscriptions to Hopkinton students and senior citizens on a fixed income. More information is available at the HopNews subscription page.
