Hopkinton’s Boy Scout Troop 4 will be running the annual tree collection fundraiser January 6th, 2024.
This is one the the Troop’s largest fundraisers for the entire year and helps them fulfill their primary mission of delivering a meaningful and high-quality leadership and outdoor program to the boys.
The funds raised by this activity are used to support exciting activities and developmental opportunities. This includes campouts, where Scouts learn skills, such as pioneering, wilderness survival and first aid. Other activities have included rock climbing, environmental awareness, white water rafting, and mountain biking. It also helps support once in a lifetime High Adventure trips, such as the visit to the Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico, which will happen again this coming Summer 2024.
Locally, Scouts throughout the year help improve our community through various civic projects, such as trail and public area cleanups, as well as Scouting for Food.
