Join the community on October 1st at the Live4Evan Oktoberfest in support for families affected by congenital heart disease. The event is held at Start Line Brewery from 2-5pm.
Live4Evan is a non-profit organization based in Hopkinton. Barbara and Michael Girardi started started Live4Evan as a testament to their son, Evan, when he passed in 2010.
Despite being born with a congenital heart defect, Evan grew up a typical kid and attended Hopkinton High School. At that time he underwent medical treatment for the worsening effects the defect was having on his heart.
Throughout college, Evan was known for his positive attitude, acquiring internships and studying abroad. During his senior year of college he tragically passed away from a heart arrhythmia.
Evan’s joyous attitude inspired countless people and he deeply cherished his relationships. Because of this, Evan’s parents and friends started Live4Evan as a tribute to the power of relationships and being there for your loved ones.
Live4Evan’s mission is to provide temporary housing for families of children with congenital heart disease, to minimize financial and emotional stress on the families while they focus on their relationship with their child.
Members and supporters of the Live4Evan organization celebrate the continued success of their mission with the upcoming Oktoberfest event.
Tickets are required for the event and are available for purchase for $40 through their Eventbrite page. Barbara and Michael invite the community to join together over great food, music, and friends!
