The Hillers hockey team kept the momentum going on Friday night, with a blowout 7-1 win over the Holliston Panthers. Hopkinton improves to 2-0 on the season, and has outscored opponents 12-1 overall.
Hopkinton got off to a fiery start, leading 3-0 at the end of the first period.
Five different players scored in the game. Izak Peterson, Joe Carrazza, and Joe Scardino all scored once, while Senior Pavit Mehra and freshman Cam McPherson netted 2 apiece.
“We had early penalty trouble, but once we calmed down, we started firing on all cylinders,” said Scardino.
The Hillers defense was dominant as well, with Goalkeeper Jack Lang making several acrobatic saves.
The boys look to continue their streak against Ashland this coming Wednesday, December 21 at Loring Arena.
