Reading Frederick Douglass Together on the Hopkinton Town Common
Community members & guests will join in reading Douglass’ famous “What to the Slave is the Fourth of July?” first delivered in 1852 and still relevant today. The event is made possible by a grant from Mass Humanities with funding by the Mass Cultural Council.
Free, open to all! There will be music and refreshments, too.
