Create Your Own Musical or Song!
Join professional composer Jane Wong in this one day writing workshop! Through guidance and inspiring examples, all participants will leave with progress on your own song, musical, or opera piece.
Whether you are completely new to writing or you’re a budding composer or songwriter, this workshop will help you hone your skills. We’ll explore how elements of melody and rhythm in music relate to rhyme and meter in poetry before learning how to create characters, mood, and a plot. The writing and composing process will also include feedback, editing, and an optional (but highly encouraged) final share of works in progress at the end of the day.
Come to work on your own project or bring a writing partner and work together!
