Hopkinton Police Incident Log for June 22 – 28, 2026

by | Jul 9, 2026 | News, Police/Fire

Summary

Hopkinton police responded to a busy week of calls ranging from minor mishaps to more serious concerns. Officers handled an arrest involving drug possession and motor vehicle charges, along with a K9 request for an attempted breaking and entering. Residents reported an erratic driver who struck a mailbox, a black bear sighting, smashed windows at Center School, and a water main break that caused low pressure in parts of town. Officers also fielded reports of credit card fraud, harassment, threats, and a house party tied to underage drinking.

Beyond the more serious incidents, the log shows a steady stream of everyday community concerns. Officers spoke with juveniles about E-bike safety on multiple occasions, assisted with downed wires and low-hanging branches, and responded to parking complaints on several streets. Calls also included a missing cat poster dispute, a bat trapped in a car, and a minor two-car accident with no injuries. Together, the reports paint a picture of routine small-town policing, blending public safety response with community assistance and quality-of-life issues.
