Dear Editor,
I am writing to endorse Sandra Irwin for the School Committee.
The first thing that comes to mind with Sandra is the focus & passion that she wants to bring to this position. She recognizes how fortunate we are to have an extremely strong school system. However, that doesn’t mean there isn’t work to be done.
By continuing to focus on students’ needs & inclusivity, while also adding responsible & strategic planning for the future, we will ensure that the schools remain strong. In turn, they will remain the backbone of our town. Sandra balances being a mother of 3 with her professional career as a global marketing strategist, something that requires a strong work ethic & great organizational skills.
I believe she will bring a perspective that is both fresh and grounded to the school committee. Furthermore, with her youngest not yet in school, she has a clear stake in serving. She also has a long-term commitment to serving. Please join me in voting for Sandra for the school committee.

Sometime ago, in another galaxy far, far away, one of the current candidates for School Committee stated, on these very pages, that I should step aside from my role on either ConCom, or the OSPC, and make way for the younger crowd. I assume he will take his advice to me to heart, and that he will, of course, join with me and vote for Sandra Irwin!
Well said Joe! I second all of those sentiments. What impresses me most about Sandra is her passion and willingness to do the hard work. She has my vote!
