The Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) today began notifying qualified applicants of their acceptance into the 129th Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America. The race will be run on Monday, April 21, 2025.
Each year, PJB helps over 900 families in need with food, clothing and basic household necessitates so they can live a better quality life. Volunteers serve a vital role in fulfilling this outreach to the Hopkinton and surrounding communities.
This victory has elevated Hopkinton’s status in the cricket world, positioning the town as a regional leader in the sport. The success of the Hopkinton Lions is expected to spark more interest in cricket within the community and may even attract new talent to the sport.
Last November’s Special Town Meeting (November 2023) included a citizen-sponsored petition, led by Ed Harrow and John Cardillo, aimed at ending partisan elections in the town. After their presentation and a lively debate, the measure passed with 245 votes in favor and 214 against. Hopkinton becomes the 339th town in the Commonwealth to move away from partisan elections.
