The Hopkinton Sustainable Green Committee is pleased to announce that three new water refill stations are being installed at popular community locations in Hopkinton.
The new stations are located at the Town Common, Sandy Beach near the bathrooms, and Fruit Street Dog Park. The Town Common and Sandy Beach stations have already been installed. In addition, the Fruit Street Dog Park station is expected to be completed by the end of the week.
All three stations were funded by CPC and include bottle-refill stations and ADA-accessible drinking spouts. The Fruit Street Dog Park station will also include a lower drinking spout for dogs.
“These new refill stations are a great addition to our parks and recreation spaces,” said Jon Lewitus, CPRP, Parks & Recreation Director. “They make it easier for residents and visitors to stay hydrated. They also reduce single-use plastic bottle waste and allow everyone to enjoy our public spaces more comfortably.
The Hopkinton Sustainable Green Committee encourages residents to use the new stations while visiting these locations. Also, residents should bring reusable water bottles whenever possible.
