I proudly endorse Shahidul Mannan for another term on Hopkinton’s Select Board. Shahidul has been a dedicated volunteer for the citizens of Hopkinton for many years, serving on the Appropriation, Planning, and Select Boards. In all these roles, he has shown the commitment, creativity, and curiosity necessary to be an effective leader for Hopkinton.

As we enter a time of more difficult decisions around budgets and capital projects for the town, experience and knowledge of how the process works will be critical to ensuring the right decisions are made and the right projects prioritized. Shahidul has the knowledge and qualities to do this well.

Working with him on the Elementary School Building Committee, I have seen firsthand that he asks the right questions, understands the complexities of municipal funding, and, most importantly, is open to changing his mind when presented with new information.

These are the qualities Hopkinton needs on the Select Board, and I am proud to support Shahidul Mannan. Hopkinton is fortunate to have such dedicated volunteers serving the citizens.
