Ellen Homes: I was immediately contacted that same day by the water department, the DPW, and Vertex. They addressed my complaint, and the water is no longer discolored. The town’s response was immediate, and they showed the utmost concern for the problems we have been experiencing.
We are noticing discolored water today at 139 Hayden Rowe Street, and I have just washed my white sheets. If this is due to the Charleswood school project, why weren’t we notified?
Everything going on there is making us extremely frustrated. It is tying up traffic, so we aren’t able to safely exit our driveway. Now we also have to deal with discolored water.
We have had telephone poles dropped in our front yard. Verizon trucks keep blocking our driveway while we’re remodeling our kitchen.
All this is unacceptable, yet no one seems to care.

{Hopkinton Notices} Discolored water
Please be advised.
Tomorrow Wednesday, February 18th at 10AM we will be activating the newly installed water line to the Charleswood School located at 147 Hayden Rowe. We anticipate that it may cause temporary discoloration in the direct vicinity of that location. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. Please flush your cold water tap only until the discoloration dissipates.
