On Friday, six Hopkinton athletes signed Letters of Intent. A Letter of Intent (LOI) is a document that a high school athlete signs to indicate their commitment to play a sport at a specific college or university, and it’s a significant part of the college sports recruitment process in the United States. LOI’s play a crucial role in the college sports landscape, providing both a sense of security for the student-athlete and the recruiting institution.

Georgie Clarke, the leading goal scorer on the Girls Varsity soccer team that made a deep run to the state semifinals, committed to play for Boston College. Her teammate, Brooke Birtwistle, signed with Brown University.
