Several Hillers Qualify to compete at Nationals

The Hillers’ indoor track team finished an impressive weekend at the Relays meet with multiple athletes qualifying to complete against the best in the country.

Competing in the 4×200 meter relay for the first time, Carmen Thomas, Caroline DeSimone, Keira O’Connor, and Loryn Canty qualified with a time of 1:50.31.

Individually qualifying at an earlier meet was first-year runner Canty, who ran a 7.55 seconds in the 55 meter dash.

Seniors Declan Mick, Paul Litscher, and Sean Golembiewski along with Junior Drew Bailobreski teamed up in the shuttle hurdle relay to earn a qualifying time of 26.20 seconds.

Other medalists included the Boys’ Shuttle Hurdle B team (Owen Fitzpatrick, Andrew Budden, Will Bialobrzeski, Matt Bernardin), and the Boys’ 4×4 relay. Nationals will be held March 10th through 12th at the TRACK at New Balance for Hopkinton’s athletes to showcase their best events.
