Local Golfers Tee Up For Project Just Because

Published on

On Monday, June 19, 120 golfers competed in a tournament hosted at the Hopkinton Country Club to raise money for Project Just Because (PJB). PJB is Hopkinton’s Food Pantry, and helps struggling families in their time of greatest need by supplying food, clothing and basic necessities. They are located on South Street in Hopkinton, and serve more than 210,000 people per year.

The golf tournament was supported by corporate sponsors Unibank and Amica, as well as many individuals who donated raffle and auction items.

In total, the tournament raised $53,000 after expenses, money that will go to support families in Hopkinton and beyond.

“I want to thank everyone for their time and contributions, and for making this golf tournament a success,” said PJB Founder and President Cherylann Lambert Walsh.
