Hilly the Hiller Delights the Fans

If you’ve been to EMC Park recently, you know that Hopkinton Little League Sizzler baseball is in full swing. What you may not know, however, is that Hilly the Hiller has been roaming the sidelines of the U-8 Hopkinton games. He’s come to be a player and fan favorite and will take as many for photos as you can handle.

Come on down to EMC one of these nights for your own chance to meet Hilly!

  1. Hilly looks like a solid mascot! The real ones remember the original Hillerman from the late 90’s in Browns gym. He was electric and really got the crowd fired up for the big games. I swear he could jump 4 ft high.

Hopkinton Town Manager Norman Khumalo is reportedly leaving his position for the private sector. Khumalo has served since June 2009, his appointment succeeding the abrupt resignation of former Town Manager Tony Troiano, convicted of manslaughter. Assistant Town Manager Elaine Lazarus will act as temporary town manager.

State Refugee Crisis Reaches Hopkinton’s Neighbors

The refugee crisis in Massachusetts is growing due to a large influx of migrant families, leading to a strain on the state's "right-to-shelter" law that guarantees shelter and necessities to homeless parents with children, pregnant women, and refugees. Currently, over 7,500 families are in emergency shelters, pushing the system to the brink. The state, struggling to provide enough shelter and services, is spending more than $45 million per month to provide housing and assistance.
