Former Hopkinton Deputy Police Chief John “Jay” Porter has been found guilty of raping a 15-year-old student while serving as a school resource officer in 2004 and 2005. Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan announced the conviction, highlighting Porter’s abuse of power and trust. Sentencing is scheduled for June 18, 2025.
