They exist to stir up discontent and support some whiners in town. If it was truly that important, it’s unlikely it would be so hidden. Their efforts are never productive.

If Hopnews is concerned with public saftey and community engagement, the resposible action is to turn off commenting for this story and forgo the click bait attraction to and for Hopnews.

We do not publish personal attacks or comments unrelated to the article. If a reader continues to send inappropriate remarks, we block them. It’s unfortunate, because we strongly support free speech — but we’re not here to supervise bad behavior.
