LTE: Support for Jeff Doyle

Dear Friends in the Hopkinton Community,

As a family, we proudly endorse longtime resident and “up-and-coming” community leader Jeff Doyle as the candidate for selectperson for reasons that we believe will benefit you and your family. 

First, we all care about the unique and wonderful value Hopkinton provides us, our families, and friends in the world in general, including some shining examples:

• An outstanding school system built up over the years
• 30 square miles of town land filled with the beauty of natural resources such as the Hopkinton State Park and Lake Whitehall (the largest land-wise in Metro West)
• Prestigious, much-respected home to the start of the Boston Marathon, a worldwide sporting event
• People like YOU who make the community great – a huge asset

We see the opportunities for the future that these attributes present. We also see the big challenges that go along with rapid growth and the continuous need for improvement. It’s all in the details.

In today’s rapidly changing tech-based society, we must be able to adapt and pivot at a moment’s notice with an eye toward fiscal restraint. With a background in business and a well-respected family legacy, we believe Jeff Doyle is best equipped to take on the task, listening to your ideas and providing creative solutions.

Over the years, we have worked directly and successfully with members of the Doyle family to establish and renovate not only the Hopkinton Little League fields but also the Hopkinton High School athletic complex through years of participation in the Athletics Boosters and establishment of the school store as a key funding mechanism.

All of these infrastructure projects require listening, innovative thinking, directness in approach, enhanced knowledge, optimism, and teamwork to get the job done—on time and within budget—and have made Hopkinton strong and a much-desired place to live.

As a next-generation leader stepping up to the plate with years of related work experience as a team manager in sales for a cyber-security firm and a financial analyst at PerkinElmer, Jeff Doyle will bring these much-needed values and skills to the Select Board. Please vote for Jeff Doyle on Monday, May 19, and support the effort to solidify Hopkinton’s position as “the Best in the Metro West!”
