I am proud to endorse Shahidul Mannan for re-election to the Select Board wholeheartedly. His unwavering commitment to our community and his hands-on approach to local issues have had a real and lasting impact on our town.
Throughout his term, Shahidul has been an active and visible leader, listening, engaging, and advocating on behalf of residents. Whether supporting the development of inclusive recreational spaces like cricket fields or assisting with Eversource or LNG issues, he has consistently shown up and spoken out with purpose and clarity.
His presence at community events is a testament to his dedication—he listens to our concerns and follows through with action. Shahidul represents the kind of thoughtful, proactive leadership our town deserves.

is this the guy who leaked the name of a child rape victim to the pub
lic along with ritterbush?
No, Shahidul Mannan did not leak the victim’s name. That disgrace lies with Hopkinton’s chief of police, Joe Bennett, who is still employed. Chief Bennett published both the name and address of the victim, as well as her children’s information. Amy Ritterbusch later copied his post to her official website.
During the Loudermill hearing on Friday, January 19, 2024, Chief Bennett boasted that he had posted all the Kroll documents on his website. However, he failed to check whether the documents had been properly redacted; they had not. Even after being notified on Saturday morning that unredacted documents were publicly accessible, the police did not remove them until Monday morning. Notably, Chief Bennett has never issued an apology for this incident.
