On November 19, the Hopkinton boys cross-country team qualified for the Nike Cross Regional meet by placing 15th overall in the Commonwealth. The Nike Cross Regional (NXR) is an annual track meet that brings in teams from New England, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania to compete for a chance to go to the National event. This 2023 cross country team is undoubtedly the most successful in school history, and they were glad to make the nearly three hour trek to Poughkeepsie, NY, where the event was held.

Though the boys placed 27th out of 35 teams, their spirits were high. Said senior captain Wyatt Ruff: “We knew it would be tough to place well at NXR, and we were all glad to be there”.

Now that the season is at an end, Wyatt and other Seniors look forward to the upcoming Winter track season where they will make another run at Nationals.
