FIFA World Cup MetroWest Fan Zones

by | Jun 4, 2026 | Announcements, News

The MetroWest Boston Visitors Bureau has received a $50,000 state grant to support public safety costs for upcoming FIFA World Cup watch parties in Marlborough and Franklin. The grant comes from the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism. It adds to an earlier $120,000 grant that helped fund planning, infrastructure, marketing, logistics, and safety needs.

Where Fans Can Watch

The MetroWest Regional Fan Zones will host officially licensed FIFA World Cup public viewing events.

  • Marlborough will host events from June 11 to 13
  • Franklin will host events from June 24 to 25

Organizers expect thousands of residents and visitors to attend. The events will feature giant-screen match broadcasts, live entertainment, food trucks, local vendors, family activities, beer gardens, arts and crafts, and cultural programming.

A Regional Effort

The project grew from talks between the MetroWest Boston Visitors Bureau and Boston World Cup, the regional host committee for the FIFA World Cup 26.

Marlborough and Franklin later became the host communities. Local chambers, municipal leaders, recreation staff, cultural groups, and business partners helped plan and support the events.

Organizers say the Fan Zones will bring people together, support local businesses, and showcase MetroWest to visitors during the tournament.

Free Tickets and Event Details

The MetroWest Regional Fan Zones are free to attend, but tickets are required. Fans can find tickets, schedules, and event details at www.metrowestvisitors.org/world-cup.
