Don’t let the forecast deter you. Get involved with the MA GOP!
Learn about becoming a delegate at the State Convention on April 25th in Worcester. Any registered Republican can be a delegate; you do not have to be a member of our committee. If you are interested, please email me (jmirab@yahoo.com).
We have 20 open delegate slots for the MA GOP State Convention. The convention will be held on April 25th in Worcester. It’s really fun if you haven’t been to one. The candidates typically have parties the night before as well. Last convention, we were wined and dined at the Basketball Hall of Fame!
The objective of the convention is to have a delegate vote for candidates running for statewide office. If there is a primary, the vote counts determine who is on the ballot, so it’s pretty important.
During the convention, we will hear from the candidates and some invited speakers. At the last convention, we heard from Tom Holman… very interesting to hear his perspective on the border crisis. Not sure who the guest speakers will be yet.
The cost is $150.00 per person. This helps defray the costs of the venue and related expenses. You must be a registered Republican as of 12/31/2025 to attend as a delegate. If you want to go and have a financial hardship, please contact me directly, and I can work with you privately.
We will have a caucus to select our delegates on Saturday, February 7th, at 9:30 A.M. at the Hopkinton Public Library. You do not need to be in attendance to be selected as a delegate, but I do need to know whether you would like your name considered. Please email me if you are interested.
I do need all HRTC committee members to attend on the 7th, as we are the ones who vote on who is a delegate. Please make time on your calendar to attend.
Now is the time to continue our push to have some influence in our town and state! We can only do that if we show up. Please consider serving as a delegate and joining our committee.
Sincerely,
Jim Mirabile
