Hopkinton to Conduct a Water Leakage Survey Announcement

To Hopkinton Residents:

The Hopkinton Water and Sewer Department has contracted Water and Waste Pipe Testing Incorporated to conduct a water leakage survey across the entire water distribution system.

This work is scheduled to begin today, Monday, November 24, 2025, and is expected to be completed by Tuesday, December 31, 2025, weather permitting. The survey will be conducted between 8:30 A.M. and 3:00 P.M., Monday through Friday.

The survey involves using specialized leak detection equipment to listen to hydrants, gate valves, and ground microphones over water mains in selected areas. This is strictly a diagnostic process to pinpoint water leaks.

• Water and Waste Pipe Testing Incorporated vehicles will be clearly marked.
• Crews will be equipped with caution lights, signs indicating frequent stops, safety cones, and safety vests.
• The contractor will not perform the excavation work. Any necessary excavation work will be conducted separately by the Hopkinton Water Department.
