Watercolor Portrait Painting Workshop

Watercolor Portrait Painting Workshop
Join this full day workshop and learn techniques on creating portraits in watercolor. Bring a photo of a loved one or use a teacher-supplied reference photo from which to hone your skills.
All levels of painting experience are welcome, but basic drawing skills are required as you must come to the workshop with a light pencil drawing of your portrait choice.
Watercolor paper can be picked up at the front desk of the HCA the week before the workshop (Monday–Friday between 9:30 a.m.–4 p.m.). Please coordinate with Program Director, Stephanie Madden, stephanie@hopartscenter.org for pick up.
Please note: If you prefer to use your own or buy your own watercolor paper, please draw on the following recommended options:
- Best: Arches Cold Press 140# Watercolor Block (100% Co?on), 7×10 or 9×12”
- Good: Canson Montval 140# Watercolor Block
Instructor: Richard Denzer
Materials: All painting materials will be provided, but please bring your own beverages and food, or take advantage of takeout from a nearby Hopkinton restaurant!
