Reception & Live Painting Demonstration: Monsters, Memes, and Mementos

Monsters, Memes, and Mementos comprise heroes, vintage movie stills, viral visual markers, and fetishized iconography conveying truths that artist Joseph Fontinha feels can only be communicated through oil paint.

Meet the Artist reception is Saturday, June 15 at 1 p.m., followed by an artist talk and live painting demonstration at 2 p.m. Joseph will be creating an acrylic painting in a live demonstration and will talk about his process and approach to creating his artwork. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions and discuss Joesph’s unique approach to art making with him.

Light refreshments will be provided. Open and free to the public.
