Monday, January 13, 2014 11:59 pm Officer Robert Bielecki assisted the Fire Department responding to afire alarm sounding at a Winter Street location. 6:00 pm A caller reported he just struck a Deer on East Main Street. He had no injuries, but the deer fled the scene before police arrived. 1:19 pm/9:50 am On two occasions, Officer Stephen Buckley assisted parents in the safe proper installation of car seats. 8:04 am A Wood Street homeowner called worried that because he basement door was open, someone may have entered illegally. Officers David Shane and Thomas Griffin responded and concluded that in all likelihood, the door was not shut tightly, and that no one entered the home illegally. 7:12 am A Connelly Hill resident reported that a deer attempted to jump her fence, but got impaled on it instead, and is still alive. Officer Stephen Buckley and Animal Control Officer William Proctor responded. Officer Proctor dispatched the animal and removed it from the fence. 2:05 am Officer Bielecki checked on a vehicle illegally parked in a handicapped spot at a West Main Street business. It was the cleaners. |

The home owners were contacted and stated that they stopped draining there pool. 12:23 pm A resident stated that they found a lost dog on Wood Street near Lake Whitehall and would return it to its owner. 12:14 pm The DPW was notified to fix a pothole on West Main Street. 12:11 pm A caller from Oakhurst Road reported that he was attacked by a neighborhood dog and was now bleeding. Officer David Shane responded and notified the Animal Control Officer. 10:58 am A Wedgewood Drive resident reported that there was loose chickens running around. The Animal Control Officer was notified. 9:39 am Two officers responded to Chestnut Street to assist the Fire Department with a medical call. 8:13 am Officer David Shane advised the DPW that a pothole on Wood Street needed attention. 7:41 am A resident of Hidden Brick Road reported overnight lawn damage. Michael Sutton assisted a disabled motor vehicle on West Main Street. 6:01 pm A motorist reported that a vehicle traveling on Ash Street almost hit their vehicle then pulled over to the side of the road with its hazard lights on. Two officers responded and subsequently arrested a 49 year-old male from Hopkinton and charged him with Marked Lanes Violation and OUI Liquor. 5:46 pm The Fire Department responded to Rocky Woods Road for a pizza box that was on fire inside of an oven. 4:33 pm A caller reported that a red Ford 4x4 was driving very slowly through the area on Winter Street. Officer Aaron O'Neil checked the area with a negative find. 3:45 pm There were two callers from Hayden Rowe Street complaining about vehicles blocking the roadway and parking on their lawn. Officer William Burchard responded and advised that there was no parking issues. 3:41 pm A 911 caller from West Elm Street reported that they thought their house had been struck by lightning. The Upton Police Department was notified and stopped the motor vehicle. 8:49 pm A caller reported that she thought she heard someone in the Main Street building that she was cleaning. Two officers responded and advised that all appeared to be in order. 7:05 pm Officer Aaron O'Neil responded to a motor vehicle accident without personal injury on West Main Street. 7:05 pm Officer Aaron O'Neil checked and spoke with the operator of a motor vehicle on West Main Street. 6:26 pm Officer William Burchard responded to a two car motor vehicle accident without personal injury on South Street. 6:16 pm Officer Aaron O'Neil assisted a disabled motor vehicle on West Main Street. 6:10 pm A resident of Falcon Ridge Drive reported that a white male came to her door inquiring if her cable was working ok. A Ford motor vehicle with New Jersey plates was also reportedly seen in the area. Officer Aaron O'Neil checked the area with a negative find. 3:49 pm The Ashland Police Department reported that a white box truck with red lettering forced a motor vehicle off of the roadway on Cross Street and was heading towards Hopkinton. Occupants Survive Crash, Stand By Vehicle, Get Struck by Tractor Trailer
At 4:32 a.m. the State Police
Barracks in Charlton received a call for a serious crash
on Route 90 eastbound in Oxford. The crash involved
three vehicles, including a tractor trailer unit. Preliminary reports indicate
that a pick-up truck being operated by a 26 year-old man
from Brookline was travelling eastbound when, for
reasons still under investigation, left the roadway and
crashed in the median guardrail. The pick-up then rolled
over and came to rest in the center travel lane. At this
time , the 26 year-old male operator from Brookline and
his 25 year old passenger were not seriously injured and
managed to exit the vehicle. The rolled-over pick-up was
initially passed by a sedan before being struck by a
tractor-trailer unit. The tractor-trailer also struck
the 26 year-old operator who had crawled out of his
vehicle and was standing in the roadway. The operator
sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported
by ambulance to UMass Medical Center in Worcester. The
25 year-old male passenger was not hit by the
tractor-trailer truck but sustained injuries from the
crash and was also transported to UMass Medical Center.
We have nothing further on their medical condition. The tractor-trailer then
struck the sedan that had just passed the rolled-over
pick-up truck. The 26 year-old operator of the sedan and
the 27 year-old passenger suffered serious but not
life-threatening injuries and were both transported to
UMass Medical Center by Ambulance. We have no further
information on either occupant’s home of record. We also
have nothing further on their medical condition. The tractor-trailer came to
rest against the median guardrail after striking the
pick –up and then the sedan. The tractor-trailer
operator is 26 year-old male from Rhode Island. He
sustained serious injuries and was flown by medical
helicopter to UMass Medical Center. We have nothing
further on his medical condition. Route 90 was closed for
approximately 15 minutes accommodate the landing, rescue
operation and take-off. The breakdown lane remained open
while all three lanes were closed to allow for rescue
operations, investigation and subsequent clean-up. Responding State Police assets
include troopers from the Charlton Barracks, State
Police Collision Reconstruction and Analysis Section,
State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Section and
Crime Scene Services responded to the crash with
assistance from the Charlton, Oxford and Auburn fire
departments and Mass Department of Transportation. The cause of the crash remains
under investigation. |

The Massachusetts State Police have activated an AMBER Alert for the
abduction of a 6 year old child from Fitchburg.
The Massachusetts State Police
in conjunction with the Fitchburg Police Department are
asking for the public’s help in locating an abducted 6
year old female child from Fitchburg, MA. The
child, Alize Whipple, is described as a black female
approximately 3’9” tall, weighing 45 pounds with dark
hair. Alize was last seen wearing a pink top, pink
petite pants and pink sparkly shoes. She was last
seen on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at approximately
4:00p.m., on Normandy Street in the city of Fitchburg.
Alize is believed to have been
abducted by her non-custodial mother, Leeanna Wilson,
50, from Normandy Street in

Police Seek Public’s Help
in Locating Murder Suspect
An arrest warrant was issued
last month for Rodriguez. In addition to residing
in Framingham, Rodriguez has also lived in
the Worcester area and is known to frequent the
Dorchester area of Boston. Anyone who knows of
Rodriguez’s whereabouts or has seen this suspect is
asked to call Framingham Police Tip Line at 508-872-1212
ext. 3888 or Massachusetts State Police at 781-897-6600. Two other men have been
charged with the murder of Lopez. Jose Cruz, 16,
of Framingham and Bryan Pertarb, 20, of Hudson were
arraigned December 19 in Framingham District Court on
charges of murder, attempted armed robbery, armed
assault with intent to rob, conspiracy to commit armed
robbery, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
They were held without bail. The next court date
for both defendants is January 21 for pre-trial hearing. At approximately 10:57 p.m. on
November 20, Framingham Police responded to a report of
a shooting in the parking lot at 15 Second
St. in Framingham. Upon arrival police discovered
a male victim in the driver’s seat of a motor vehicle
suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, Juan Lopez, 21,
of Framingham, was transported to MetroWest Medical Center where
he was pronounced dead. An autopsy by the Office
of the Chief Medical Examiner determined the cause of
death to be a single gunshot wound to the chest. It is alleged that when Lopez
arrived at the location on Second Street he retrieved
marijuana from the trunk of his car and then got into
the driver’s seat of his vehicle. It is alleged
that Rodriguez walked up to the vehicle and fired a
single gunshot through the driver’s side window,
striking Lopez. The three men then fled the scene. The case is under
investigation by Massachusetts State Police assigned to
the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and Framingham
Police. The prosecutor assigned to the case is
Assistant District Attorney Christopher Tarrant.

Incident Log Thursday, January 9, 2014 5:33 pm A driver called about another driver entering an intersection in a dangerous manner, allegedly almost causing an accident. Officer Matthew McNeil caught up with the vehicle at a nearby business and checked on it. 2:02 pm Officer Stephen Buckley stood by while a disabled motor vehicle waited for a tow on West Main Street. 2:00 pm A housecleaner on Blueberry Lane arrived at the client's residence to the sound of a smoke alarm. 1:20 pm Officer Buckley assisted an individual whose vehicle was disabled on West Main Street, to get into the parking lot of the Community Covenant Church. The operator has called for a tow truck. 11:46 pm A third party caller reported a domestic incident had just occurred on Walcott Valley Drive. The suspect was out picking up a child from school, but had returned at home upon the arrival of two of five responding units. The individual was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault and battery. 9:33 am A Massachusetts State Trooper requested an officer for assistance with a warrant arrest on Wedgewood Drive. Officer Patrick O'Brien obliged. 8:52 am Someone at Center School reported an odor of natural gas in the building. Fire Department instruments could detect no gas. 5:45 am A Huckleberry Road caller reported activation of a carbon monoxide alarm. 5:30 am A walk in reported icing from water runoff, an ongoing concern, on Frankland Road. Officer Linda Higgins investigated, but found only a small patch that the DPW had already designated with cones. |

Authorities Seek Public's Assistance Identifying Woburn Robbery Suspects
WOBURN – Middlesex
District Attorney Marian Ryan and Woburn Police Chief
Robert Ferullo are seeking the public’s help in
identifying three suspects who
At approximately 7:50 p.m. on January 7, Woburn Police
responded to the Walgreens at 675 Main St. for a report
of an armed robbery. An investigation was
immediately launched. The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and Woburn Police are asking anyone in the public who recognizes the suspects and the customer in the store to please call Woburn Police Detectives at 781-933-1212.
According to authorities, three men entered the
Walgreens store, two of whom were brandishing handguns.
One suspect grabbed the store clerk working at the front
of the store, held her down, tied her up with zipties,
and threatened her.
Two other suspects ran toward the pharmacy counter and
threatened the pharmacy clerk. One suspect held a
gun to her head and ordered her to open the locked
cabinet where narcotics were kept. The suspects
assaulted the clerk and held her down while they stole
large quantities of narcotics from the pharmacy.
The suspects then tied up the clerk and forcibly ripped
her engagement ring and wedding band from her hand.
The suspects fled the store carrying a bag and a box
filled with prescription medication. It is
believed that they fled in an older model, dark colored
Jeep Cherokee.
The suspects wore hoodies and their faces were covered
throughout the robbery. Officials believe that two
of the suspects were white males. They possessed
two weapons, one of which is believed to be a
semi-automatic handgun.
The case is under investigation by Woburn Police. |

The carrier was gone upon arrival. 6:38 pm Officer Matthew McNeil responded to a two-vehicle crash at West Main and School Streets. There were no injuries. 3:43pm A student home sick from school on Huckleberry Road was startled by a strange man in his basement. He locked himself in an upstairs room and dialed 911. Further calls to his mother assured him that the oil delivery man was supposed to be there, and responding units confirmed his identity. 10:31 am A disabled motor vehicle on West Main Street was gone upon the arrival of Officer Thomas Griffin. 8:59 am A male and female, apparently unknown to the resident driving on Equestrian Drive, were walking and staring at him, watching him drive down the road. The resident drove around wondering where they went, but could not locate them, nor could a responding officer. 8:49 am The Highway Supervisor requested an officer's assistance for a resident dumping the water from his sump pump into the roadway on Pleasant Street. Officer Patrick O'Brien spoke with the resident, who promised to stop. |

Topsfield Police Seek Public's Help Locating Missing 15 year-old
The Topsfield Police
Department is requesting the public's help in locating a
missing 15 year-old female. Her name is Marlena Voss and
she was last seen riding a bicycle in the Town of
Ipswich on January 6, 2014 while wearing a red coat, red
Ugg-style boots and a two-tone backpack. She's described
as being 5 feet, 9 inches tall with brown hair and blue
eyes.
She may be in need of medical
attention.
