Hopkinton Williamsport Little League Team
The Hopkinton Little league Williamsport Tournament team just completed their tournament season and advanced to the District 11 pool championship game before losing to Medfield. The team started slowly with two opening losses before putting together four consecutive wins over Sharon, Needham, Norwood and Walpole. During the winning streak the team exploded for 9 home runs by Max Mauro, Jon Wolf, Nate Tuite, John Henry Vokey and Isaac Stilwell. The team also received outstanding pitching from Alex Reynolds, Tom Onsi, Nate Tuite, Cole Dragsbaek, Chris Burdick and Jon Simmer with Reynolds pitching a complete game, Onsi pitching a complete game no hitter and Simmer saving one game. Tim Simoes contributed several key hits and consistently wowed the crowd with his play at shortstop. The regular season portion of the schedule concluded with a win over host Norwood with the scoring onslaught starting with an RBI double by Max Teitelman. During Hopkinton's winning streak they outscored their opponents by a combined score of 41-9. Michael Sutton observe an individual walking toe to heel on Grove Street as instructed this evening as part of a battery of field sobriety tests given to drivers suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol. safety. While Troopers awaited fence cutting tools, one of the four
children collapsed. Troopers scaled the fence and provided first aid. In
the interim, the grandmother also collapsed. First aid was provided to

Little Friends’ Day at Senior Center Friday, July 22, starting at 10 a.m.
Seniors are invited to bring their grandchildren or other young friends to the Senior Center on Friday for a fun filled day. Active games, such as musical chairs and Simon Says, will be led by professional children’s entertainer and physical education teacher John Catalano from 10-noon. New this year, age appropriate crafts , including bead stringing and decorating notebooks, will be ongoing, followed by a cookout at noon.
