Elmwood Runs Remarkable Relay
April 20, 2008 Last Thursday, the lite Kenyans' visit that had been scheduled at Elmwood School for the 16th Annual Adopt-A-Marathoner program was canceled due to an outbreak of chicken-pox that could have been risky for the visiting athletes. Nonetheless, two teachers at the Elmwood School, Ms. Emily LeRoy and Ms. Bridget Donahue, tempered the loss with a race of their own. Above is a composite of pictures from Room 13's and Room 17's Remarkable Relay Race. The children were put together in teams of 4 and raced around the big field in front of the school. The winning teams from each heat ran in the championship race. Our championship team received medals for their big win. ~Emily LeRoy |
