HOLLISTON – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Holliston Police Chief Matthew Stone have confirmed that authorities arrested and charged two individuals in connection with the break-in at Mass Firearms School (MFS) in Holliston on October 30, 2025. The two accused of the break-in at Mass Firearms School are now awaiting legal proceedings.

Authorities identified them as Jason Liberis, 18, of Oxford, and Bryan Ayala Perez, 18, of Johnston, RI. Prosecutors charged Liberis and Ayala Perez each with breaking at night and breaking from a Firearms Dealer. They also face charges for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Weapon, and Conspiracy.

What Happened

On Thursday, October 30, 2025, at approximately 11:19 P.M., a dispatcher sent the Holliston Police Department to MFS at 100 Kuniholm Drive for a report of a breaking and entering in progress. Video surveillance from inside the building showed three individuals on the scene. Two of those suspects were actively inside the firearms retail store. This led to the two being charged with the break-in at Mass Firearms School.

The footage of the incident showed the three suspects dressed in dark clothing and wearing masks. They stole two semi-automatic rifles before fleeing the area in a four-door sedan.

Multi-agency Investigation

The subsequent multi-agency investigation further revealed that, on October 30, 2025, Liberis, Ayala Perez, and a third person allegedly traveled to MFS in the sedan. Ayala Perez had stolen the vehicle from the parking lot of a convenience store in Johnston, Rhode Island. Once there, Ayala Perez stood watch outside. Meanwhile, Liberis and the other individual broke in and took the assault rifles. They then fled in the stolen car. This led to two being charged with the break-in at Mass Firearms School.

Police arrested Jason Liberis at his home in Oxford on November 21. The court arraigned him in Framingham District Court on November 21. He was ordered held pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for Monday, November 24, 2025. Officers arrested Ayala Perez on November 21 at his home in Palm Springs, FL. He will face arraignment, subject to extradition to Massachusetts.

Active Investigation

This is an active and ongoing investigation. The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, the Holliston Police Department, and the Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office are conducting it.

Involved police departments include the Oxford Police Department, the Johnston Police Department, and the Pawtucket Police Department. Additionally, the Cranston Police Department, the Palm Springs Police Department, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) are participating.

Authorities have not yet recovered the firearms. However, the two people charged with the break-in are being thoroughly investigated.
