The Hopkinton Hillers are feeling good as four of their teams advanced to the round of 16 in the MIAA State Tournament.

On November 3, the girls field hockey team, who are ranked #7 in the tournament, defeated Middleboro 2-0, behind two dynamic goals from Camille Perlov. They face Doherty Memorial on November 7 at 5:00 PM at the High School turf fields.

Hopkinton volleyball also entered the state tournament ranked #7, and hosted Westwood on November 3. Sophomore Evie Woodbury had a 12-point service run in the 4th set to lead the Hillers to a 3-1 victory. The girls match up against #10 North Quincy tonight, November 7 at 7:00 PM at the High School gym.

The action continued with the boys soccer team rolling over Duxbury 3-1 this past Sunday. The Hillers saw balanced scoring from Timofei Zakharov, Jack Ianelli, and Captain Drew Bialobrzeski. They meet up with North Attleborough tomorrow at 4:30 PM, in the first of a double-header on the High School turf fields.

Finally, the Hiller girls soccer team, who are ranked #3 in the tournament and #5 nationally, squared off with Plymouth North in what proved to be a very physical match. Hopkinton led 1-0 at the half behind a goal from Marin O’Connor and then doubled their lead with a strike from Nina Tzouganatos from distance. Plymouth North found the back of the net on a corner kick, but their fight was not long-lived as Hopkinton Senior Georgie Clarke buried a low shot into the box, cementing the win. They next host #14 Arlington tomorrow night at home at 6:30, at the conclusion of the boys game.

For those that can’t attend in person, both games will be televised on HCAM on Comcast Channel 8/Verizon Channel 30, and streaming on YouTube. Check HCAM’s page for schedules and coverage of all Hillers playoff games.
