What’s Happening?

Due to inclement weather, utility crews will now perform daytime electrical relocation work on the Fruit Street bridge in Hopkinton on Monday, August 12, as part of the I-495/I-90 Interchange Improvements Project. This work, including outages, is scheduled to take place between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

Detour Routes

While detours are in place, Fruit Street in Hopkinton will be open only to local traffic between North Street and Saddle Hill Road. Temporary daytime detours are required for the electrical relocation work (see map).

The following detour routes will be in place for vehicles traveling on Fruit Street:

  • Westbound Traffic (Crossing I-495): Turn left to head south on Saddle Hill Road. Make a slight right onto Walker Street, then turn right onto Wood Street (MA-135 West) and continue to Fruit Street.
  • Eastbound Traffic (Crossing I-495): Follow the detour signs to Wood Street (MA-135 East). Turn left onto Walker Street and continue onto Saddle Hill Road until you reach Fruit Street.
