Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan has confirmed the ongoing investigation into a fatal train strike that occurred on January 19, 2023.

At approximately 7:40 p.m., an Ashland man, identified as Jason Haywood, 45,  was struck by a train that had recently departed the Framingham Station. The preliminary investigation suggests that the man may have been attempting to cross the tracks at the time he was struck. Mr. Haywood was pronounced dead on the scene.

This is an ongoing investigation being conducted by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office and the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority Police.
