Community’s engagement with environmental initiatives facilitates their forming of an emotional connection to these issues\, galvanizing the feeling of ownership and investment in the potential solutions. \nThis talk will be presented via Zoom. A link will be sent via email shortly before the event to guests who have RSVP’d with instructions.

Everyone is welcome\, and no partner is required. \nWear comfortable clothing and shoes that you can move in. \nInstructor\nMori Granot-Sanchez\, based in RI\, is the founder & director of Rhode Island Latin Dance\, a dance school she started in 2012. In 2017 she launched her professional dance team\, RILD-Synergy. \nMori currently teaches weekly salsa classes at the Brown University Salsa Club\, she directs their performance team “Alma Salsera”\, and runs various after-school dance programs and classes throughout the State for inner-city youth in high schools for art credits. \nMori is a dancer\, teacher\, choreographer\, and performer who focuses on salsa as a teaching tool for self-development and inclusivity. \nCurrently\, Mori is teaching and performing with her own dance company and collaborates with different artists through various dance projects.

Her work explores childhood memories and home life. She utilizes color in evocative ways to illustrate her experiences\, whether good or bad. She focuses on large scale oil paintings that revolve around constructed memories from her adolescence to adulthood. She will be receiving her Masters in Arts in Teaching and Learning of Art and Design\, from The Rhode Island School of Design in May 2025.
