Babbin\, Esq.  \nDana Dee Babbin served as an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) prosecutor in Massachusetts for several years\, but\, after having twins in 2010\, she traded in her long commute for long days (but short years) with her kids\, and part-time work as a legal consultant. \nOver the years\, as both a prosecutor and as a consultant\, Dana has trained locally and nationally on a range of topics\, including internet safety\, legal issues in ICAC cases\, and digital evidence admissibility. \nShe also has helped law enforcement draft digital evidence lab protocol.  She currently serves as a consultant to the Operations Working Group of the ICAC Task Force Program. \nWhen she’s not working\, Dana is minding the twins\, sitting at a hockey rink\, chilling at a fishing pond\, or watching college football.

DESCRIPTION:Enter Stage Left Theater is excited to announce its winter 2025 musical production: Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka Jr. \nThe delicious adventures of Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory light up the stage in this captivating adaptation of Roald Dahl’s fantastical tale. Featuring the enchanting songs from the 1971 film\, in addition to a host of fun new songs\, Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka JR. is a scrumdidilyumptious musical guaranteed to delight everyone’s sweet tooth. \nDirected by Mary Scarlata-Rowe. \nNo auditions are required for the Jr. Ensemble. They will take part in an original candy-themed prologue\, and then be added in to select ensemble numbers of the main production. Rehearsals for Jr Ensemble (2nd-3rd grade) will be on Sundays only until the week prior to performances. Rehearsal times are scheduled to be 12:00-1:00 pm. Starting in January the Saturday rehearsals will be for a longer length of time. \nThe mandatory tech week is January 20–23. Performances will take place on January 24-26\, 2025 at the Hopkinton Middle School. \nThe production fee includes a show souvenir T-shirt and access to an online recording of the public performance.

DESCRIPTION:First Friday Open Mic with Craig Carter and the Hurricane “Unplugged” \nAbout the event: \nCalling all singers (and people who love to listen to people sing)! Open Mic is an excellent way for singers to put themselves in front of a very supportive and fun crowd and to learn by watching other singers—$ 10 at the door. HCA Members attend for free. \nAbout Our Hosts: \nWhen you think of Craig Carter and The Hurricane\, you think Neil Young meets Jeff Beck. Carter’s distinctive smooth and powerful vocal style and Sciore’s explosive and mesmerizing lead guitar work\, coupled with the heart-pounding rhythm section of Steve Gilligan on bass and Denis Semperbon on drums\, provide an undeniably exciting musical experience. \nCalling on many decades of varied musical experience\, their repertoire encompasses a diverse mix of Rock\, Blues\, and Americana. With their excellent musicianship and four-part vocals\, they seamlessly blend original material along with deep covers by bands such as the Beatles\, Steve Earle\, the Wood Brothers\, the Stones\, the Allman Brothers\, Neil Young\, Delbert McClinton\, Muddy Waters\, and countless others. BDT welcomes new ideas\, engagement\, and critical insight into its art and company. \nNamed on Dance Magazine’s prestigious “25 to Watch” list\, BDT aspires to be Boston’s first nationally and internationally-known contemporary dance company. We are committed to our art\, community\, and a culture of innovation\, accountability\, and JEDI (Justice\, Equity\, Diversity\, and Inclusion). All of our artworks are socio-politically relevant and match the talents of diverse and influential dancers with our acclaimed choreographic partners. \nBDT is the brainchild of Founder and Co-Artistic Director Jessie Jeanne Stinnett. Stinnett co-directs the company with her mentor\, Dutch-Israeli choreographer Itzik Galili. Inspired by her work with multiple companies and choreographers in Europe\, the UK\, the US\, and Canada\, Jessie envisioned a company with a diverse artistic base collaborating with cutting-edge choreographers in an equity and acceptance setting. \nSince 2017\, the company has presented over 72 workshops\, open rehearsals\, and performances to an audience of over 6\,500 with presenting partners Global Arts Live\, Jacob’s Pillow\, Harvard ArtLab\, and many others. \nAbout the Performance: \nPinnacle Works includes a diverse range of repertory choreographed by Itzik Galili (The Netherlands\, Israel)\, Marco Goecke (Germany)\, and Alessandro Sousa Pereira (Brazil\, Denmark). These choreographers have each been decorated by royalty for their unique contributions to the performing arts.
