DESCRIPTION:MILFORD WALK FOLLOWED BY POT LUCK & PIE SOCIAL\nSATURDAY\, OCTOBER 14TH– The Walk ‘n Mass Volkssport Club invites walkers to complete a 6km or 10km (3.7 or 6.2 mile) walk route in Milford\, MA and join in on the Club’s Pot Luck & Pie Social. This is a walk-at-your-own pace\, just-for-fun event “in your own backyard”.\nThe start point is the Italian-American World War Vets Post 40\, 4 Hayward Field\, Milford Ma\,01757. The 6km start time is 10:00- 10:30 a.m. and the 10km start time is 9:00-10:00 a.m. The walk times are staggered so that walkers will finish shortly before noon when the pot luck and pies are served.\nBoth walk routes go through the town and portions of the Upper Charles rail trail. The 6km route returns to the start point after the Lake Louisa checkpoint. The trail that continues past the lake and through a wooded area comprises the rest of the 10km route.\nThe 10km and 6km routes are suitable for strollers or wheelchairs and are mostly on paved surfaces.\nVolkssporting events sponsored by Walk ‘n Mass Volkssport Club promote fun\, fitness and friendship through non-competitive walking and biking free to the public.
