CULTURAL ARTS ALLIANCE of HOPKINTON
ANNUAL MEMBERS ART SHOW AND SALE September 18, 2008 to October 16, 2008
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
Eligible Artwork: Members are invited to submit up to three works. All flat works must be ready to hang. Sculpture submissions must include attractive pedestals. Entrants must become Hopkinton CAA members or have a valid membership at the time of show. Membership information can be found at www.caahopkinton.org or by calling 508 435-9222 or the event organizer, William Moser at 508 435-5773.
Application Process: All Visual Arts media are allowed. Members may submit 1-3 objects for show and sale. An entrance fee of $20 per Member will be charged. For each submission, please send a digital image of each submission along with the title of the work, the media and sale price to the event organizer, William Moser, at the email address wmoser@wpi.edu.
A panel of artists within the Hopkinton CAA will decide which works will be accepted, and notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent within 5 days after submission. Please deliver artwork (s) to the CAA Farm House at 98 Hayden Row Street, Hopkinton 01748 on September 15, 2008 between 3 PM and 6 PM. Send an email to the organizer at the email address above for other artwork delivery times. All submissions must be made before September 5, 2008 and no late submissions will be accepted. The organizers request that all submissions be made as soon as possible before the September 5, 2008 deadline.
The Members Show will be held starting on September 18, 2008 and will end on October 16, 2008. The opening reception will be held on September 19, 2008 at 7:00 PM.
Please Note: The Cultural Arts Alliance of Hopkinton will exercise the utmost care in the handling of the works submitted. However, the CAA will assume no responsibility for damaged or lost artwork. Entrants will be notified by e-mail of the status of their work. The CAA will charge a 20% commission on all sales of artwork; and when the art is dropped off at the CAA, participants will need to sign an “Artists Agreement” with the CAA agreeing to this charge along with a clause holding the CAA harmless for any damage or loss.
