There is a "Plus" to Action Copy

At quick glance, the gray building
at 34 Main Street appears unchanged. You have to look up at the
sign to notice that the seven-year-old business, Action Copy
Team, has become Action Copy PLUS in its three months under new
ownership.
Joe Palmquist, who previously worked within Information
Technology in Computer Services, had wanted to make a change by
establishing his own business. Finding Action Copy Team for sale
on the internet, Palmquist, who has Cisco and Microsoft
certifications, saw a way to marry an existing business with his
consulting experience.
“The copiers have been replaced, the counters slightly
reorganized, and the interior will get a face lift within the
next two months, but for the most part we’ve kept it the same,”
says Palmquist, who continues to offer copying, blueprint
copies, business cards, letterhead, envelopes, binding,
laminating, self-inking stamps, special occasion invitations,
multi-part forms, and fax services.
The major changes are ‘Plusses’ that reflect the expanded name:
To the hours Monday through Friday 8-5:30, 9-1 on Saturdays have
been added. Palmquist offers computer services to homes or small
businesses and encourages use of electronic files. (Email your
files to
copies@actioncopyplus.com , and they will, print,
copy, fold, label, insert, mail, or deliver for you.) Prices on
colored paper and color copies have just been lowered.
“The ‘Plus’ is kind of an open door,” says Palmquist, “for
things like screen printing and pad printing down the road.”
Though the new owners live in Cumberland R.I., their
three-and-a-half year old twin boys, Nathan and Ryan, attend
Hopkinton Christian preschool twice a week. “So we’re very
kid-friendly at the store,” Palmquist smiles.
